We LOVE camp! We love seeing kids laugh, dance, make friends, push their limits and just be kids. Our free camp programs offer kids across Alberta a chance to escape the demands of cancer for outdoor fun and adventure in a safe, caring environment. And don’t forget, camp isn’t just for kids! We offer year-round family camps, to families facing childhood cancer so parents can get-in on the fun too.

Kids Cancer Care is also proud to offer camp programs at Camp Kindle for children who have or have had a parent with cancer.

Our staff and volunteers are fully qualified and trained to meet the unique needs of young people affected by cancer. They have the skills and the heart to make camp a memorable and fun experience. All camps are located short distances from the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary and the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. And, Camp Kindle has a fully equipped clinic with all the amenities of a big city clinic.

“Healing is not just about medications, it is about strengthening the mind and spirit. Camp helps make the body, mind and spirit healthier.  Ideally, a child treated for cancer should still be able to be a child. Camp is about kids being kids, despite the diagnosis of cancer.”
