September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and Kids Cancer Care is joining pediatric cancer groups across North America to draw attention to the tragedy of childhood cancer. We’re inviting you to join us in this growing movement and to do one thing in the fight against childhood cancer this September.

Here's what you can do to support:

  1. GET A HAIRCUT! Get your family’s back-to-school haircut at a Great Clips salon. Top up your bill with a $3 donation and receive a $5 coupon off your next haircut. Book here.
  2. JUMP FOR A CURE! Join us for a tandem jump at Extreme Skydive Calgary at the Beiseker airport and raise funds for children affected by cancer. Register here.
  3. SHOP AT LOWES! Shop at the Lowe’s Sunridge location and top up your bill with a donation to raise funds for Kids Cancer Care.
  4. READ! Take a walk through childhood cancer history with a copy of Dr. D.H. Truscott’s book, History of the Southern Alberta Children’s Cancer Program. Dr. Truscott will take you from the 1950s and 1960s when pediatric oncology in Alberta wasn’t even a sub-specialty to the centre for pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation it is today. 100% of proceeds go to Kids Cancer Care and the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Purchase your copy today.
  5. GO GOLD! Visit one of the many buildings or landmarks in Alberta that are lighting up gold. Take a picture and share it on social to let the world know it’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Don't forget to tag Kids Cancer Care.
