Join the Movement

“Little by little, a little becomes a lot.” Tanzanian Proverb

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and Kids Cancer Care is joining pediatric cancer groups across North America to draw attention to the tragedy of childhood cancer. We’re inviting you to join us in this growing movement and to do one thing in the fight against childhood cancer.

Whether you decide to volunteer your time, sign on as a monthly donor or host your own fundraiser, by doing one thing, you’re showing children affected by cancer and their families that they’re not alone in this battle; that people care.

Do one thing this September and be a part of a community that cares.

For more information on how to get involved, contact our fundraising team.

You have the power to Give Life…

Did you know roughly half of Canadians are able to give blood, yet less than 4% do? Canadian Blood Services and Kids Cancer Care have teamed up for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to encourage Albertans to donate blood in honour of children affected by childhood cancer.

Over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer each year in Canada; many of them needing blood products in order to support their treatments. By joining Canadian Blood Services and Kids Cancer Care in September with a blood donation, you are helping each child fight, and hopefully win, their battle with cancer.

How to get invovled:

  • Make a group blood donation appointment by calling 403 410 2722 or email. If you already have a group donation booked, please consider increasing your targets.
  • Make an individual appointment by downloading the GiveBlood App or click here to get started.
  • Register to donate stem cells. There are hundreds of patients waiting for a stem cell transplant.

Thank you to Rogers Radio and Television stations for all their support of this campaign!
